Hey question for you all

What are the credentials required for a gun smither in Canada BC?
What are some schools that teach gun smithing?
Can you volunteer at a gun smithing shop if you have your PAL?

"...credentials required..." None. Anybody can call themselves a gun smith. Doesn't mean they are.
"...schools that teach..." There is or was one for French speakers only in Quebec. Otherwise there are none in Canada. You'd have to go Stateside. Colorado has a two year course in a community college that's respected. While there you cannot work, so you need money to live for 2 years. There are no entry level jobs anywhere either. Mind you, sometimes graduates find a job at minimum wage, but not in Canada. Forget any of the mail order/correspondence courses. Expensive, as you have to have the firearm each lesson is about and nobody recognises any of them.
"...volunteer at a gun smithing shop..." That'd depend on the shop owner. Epp's was advertising for sale clerks. Requires are vehicle to get to and it's just north of Orillia.
