'I dont know anything about this guy's product, but usually places that bring in the vz's also buy a couple of the armorers kits. I know from seeing them myself that many of these kits have real-wood furniture in them, i got my hands on a set from some friends of mine that run a shop in the city here hint hint... Also curious as to why you want to real wood? you know the "barf wood" will withstand the elements way better than real wood will right? judging by your name (similar to mine) this is something you would be interested in. Real wood will warp and crack.

thanks for the reply, this is just a passion project of mine and i intend to eventually move over to a folding stock with wooden cheek-rest and perhaps synthetic stock, but i don't think you answered my question in there (or at least i couldn't find it).

Will these fit onto my 858 rifle?

Well we dont live in Vietnam and dont see the extreme temperatures and humidity that can destroy wood to that degree. Properly maintained wood will withstand our climate no problem. I have several nice wood stock milsurps that are testament to this. The beaver barf is tougher though, but I still like the look of real wood way better. These should fit your rifle, Canadiansurvivor, But I'll add that the wooden cheek piece might sit too high for the factory irons. Ive got a plain folder and find it puts the irons just right where they need to be. I imagine the wood cheek piece would be for a scope.

yeah alright, well, maybe when i re-do this rifle in 1-2 years, ill buy a non factory folder, but for now, my wooden buttstock should be fine for irons?

i guess it depends on the person too..
