I tried the really fine walnut media form Princess Auto and it worked okay but not great for me.. I put a couple cap full of new finish in there and I don't find it did too much. I like the green treated lyman media the best. I do throw in a used dryer sheet cut into strips.
But if you want your brass really nice, then get a wet tumbler. No dust, no primer pocket holes plugged, clean primer pockets, etc. I picked up a Lyman Cyclone and really like it.
