I have a blued firearm I am putting into winter service. it will see long hours in the white stuff and strapped to a backpack while I snowshoe about.

any thoughts on what to choose?

who does Duracoat/Gunkote in canada and what are their prices like?

thanks

Bits of Pieces does Gun-kote - Barry did my 1911. It was a very good job the finish looks good and the price was reasonable (180 for a two tone finish).

Barry of Bits of Pieces also did my Winchester M70 in matte black Gunkote. Good job, price and turn around time.

At the end of this season, the guys at Rockymountain Rifles will be powder coating my A-bolt. Lots of colour options but most of all I believe it's the toughest wearing and abrasion resistant!!

powder coat is good on area's with no tolerance issues.
I don't have any experience with duracoat yet but gun kote works very well and goes on thin enough as to not affect tolerances.
