Gunner Solutions EZ8 Shotshell Caddy

I use a couple. They have only seen one match but worked well (I am not a quad loader).

I liked the fact that I could easily resize them for slugs or shot, depending on what the stage called for.

I have 3 of them and they have pros and cons, I've gone to quad loading with different caddies but still keep one on my belt. The pros durable, easy to learn, easy to set can go prone on, easy on the belly if you have one. Cons not meant to quad load (most people can't anyway),no Canadian dealer, expensive to get out of the u.s.,not a lot of adjustment built in.

Thanks for the input. What in particular makes them difficult to quad load with? I might be interested in your spare two units if you want to get rid of them.

The difficulty in quad loading with the EZ8 compared to claw type caddies is that you can't get your fingers around the first two shells as they leave the holder and they kind of roll out which makes getting a good palm weld difficult while you free the second set. As for parting with mine I'll probably hang onto them for hunting or as spares. They are still a good product there are just better options for quad loading.

Makes sense. I might still try one for quad loads. I can be a bit of a spaz in a match when it comes to grabbing the shells off a caddy. Half the time I seem to knock a shell or two out the next row of my Invictus 8s. I'd proabably be best with a dedicated quad load plate, but knocking shells out while kneeling and moving is still a concern. Would be nice to have something that could be used for hunting and the real world too.

I have three...I'm a double not a quad loader (fat fingers...). Little bulky on the belt when bending over (depending on how much of you rolls over your belt...). I contacted the guy and he made them for me in a custom color with not problem.

I have used the EZ8's for about 4 or 5 months now and as the others have mentioned, they adjust from longer slugs back to 2 3/4" quickly and easily, they are good to go prone with, they are durable, you have the option of loading traditional one at a time, and I haven't lost any shells from going prone or running hard. Because my shotgun only has a 3" chamber, I'm limited to loading six rounds of 2 3/4" in the tube so I quad load the first set then a deuce. You just have to get the right technique to get the proper grab because without the proper grab, you start yard sailing shells. Although I've never loaded quads from anything else, I do believe that the invictus or carbon arms load 4 carriers are probably faster otherwise the pros wouldn't use them but I really like the EZ8 shell caddies. Here's a youtube vid I gopro'd quad/deuce loading with the EZ8's. https://youtu.be/KCtNy7Xg8V4
