Hi guys,

Fall is here, the deer are out and I’m in a jam! Let me explain. My hunting bud and I have been looking for a place to hunt in Ontario for a few weeks now and still haven't found anything descent, we did not think it would be this hard but what a surprise! We are desperately looking for a spot, a group or any help whatsoever with finding land to hunt deer near Ottawa. We are responsible, mature and experienced hunters. We would be ready to contribute work and/or money. We both own a few pieces of land in Québec (next to Gatineau Park 20 to 45 mins. from Ottawa) and would be willing to "trade" spots if your tags are full. So if you’re looking for a couple of new members or you know a farmer who has problems with deer please let me know, any help is appreciated!

Thank you,

Alex

Look up the "Marlborough Forest" southwest of Ottawa, near North Gower on regional rd. 6. There are large expanses of crown land there, it's a rifle zone and there are plenty of deer. The MNR office in Kemptville has "crown land" maps for sale for about 10$ and they are worth it.

Thanks for the tip. What WMU is that? I have a doe tag for 66A

Thanks for the info guys. The Marlborough Forest is our backup plan. I hope there are not as much hunters than there are deer!

during deer season marlbourough can be busy, but there are some nice spots in there with some nice size deer moving through them if you dont mind the walk
