Guns & Bikes

lol, that guy was very lucky that he was able to skid in a controlled manner to the side of the road. If his rear tire had locked in a high speed sweeper...

On the ZRX forums there was a serious discussion about practising firing your gun left-handed from the bike, if your life was threatened by a cager. Gotta love them Yanks!

ROTF!! Man that is hilarious!!! So grandpa doesn't see you in his cage, so they start popping gangsta style at him??? They are probably the guys in jeans/shorts, t-shirts and running shoes too!!! Ahhhhh...I'm still laughing....make it stop....

Thats the stupidist/funny/scary thing I've ever heard. I don't even know what else to say. I would like to see someone riding at 150 KM try and draw and fire in a full crouch.

Yes, but we have moved on to our fellow US riders needing to protect themselves from zombies in their cages. I think we should take a moment..to reflect on this.

Full crouch at 150km? Are you kidding? I could make a sandwich at those speeds and I ride a naked bike. It does take flexibility and practise to turn around completely to your left so you can point your arm directly back - while keeping the bike from wandering.

Let's face it, if you remove the irresponsible and illegal nature from the concept... The idea of firing a handgun at targets from a moving motorcycle is just about as awesome as it gets. Doing it while in a stand-up wheelie would be even better of course. :)

That's it, I finally have a worthy reason to pursue an ATC. It just isn't healthy to bottle up that road rage, you know.

Remember that silly ass motorcycle movie, the name escapes me, my kid loved it of course (he was 8 or 9 at the time). Two chicks are dueling on the bikes using the bikes as the "weapons", when they went up doing wheelies and banged their front wheels (sword on sword style) I almost lost my lunch!!
Maybe those Yanks missed that movie?? Or else they'd know they can use their bike as a wheelie weapon!!!

And lets not forget Tom Cruise doing that crazy 180, while doing a stoppie, and with the gun blazing. Good ole Hollywood.
People are doing the 180 stoppies now, but I haven't seen anyone trying it with a gun in one hand. Some one should try it for real. Off the hook, man!:)

Finally, official word

So I got a hold of the CFO office today and queried them about the gun/bike issue. At first she said well you can't just walk down the road with it in your backpack, so I mentioned that the FA didn't actually seem to prohibit that. The lady was skeptical at first but promised to look into it and give me a call back. I wasn't really expecting to hear anything, but sure enough she checked with her superiors and I had an answer by the end of the day.

They said that yes, you can carry the gun on you with no restriction as to method of transportation, though you should keep it hidden. Not sure the FA actually says that, but pretty much common sense there. When you stop for fuel or bathroom, they said to keep it on your person, but likewise out of sight.

So there we have it. Ride on fellow Nutz!

there's only one way to travel

I have been dreaming of setting up a 650 Kawi like that and as far as I am concerned that is a perfectly legal means of transport for that long gun... :D

You'd get some crazy looks and some lieberal/ndp/green/sheeple would call the cops on you but it is legal.

Hey KailBosh, I agree about the 150 km and being stable enough to do anything you want, it was the first number to pop into my head, must be because of the On Street Racing Law were anyhing above 50 over U lose ur ride. So 145 km max it is.
