If you want a serious gunsmith (not a gun shop), personally I recommend Alain Depot. Well experienced and has several contracts with police & security agencies. His shop is in Granby, Google him for the exact address. I also read good words on a new fellow, Alain Combes in St-Rock-de-L'Achigan but seen none of his work.

Keep in mind that most gun shop in Montreal will outsource major work to real gunsmiths. I you need to thread your barrel to fit a muzzle break, I would deal with a gunsmith, not a gun shop. A gun shop may fix you with whatever they have on hand, not necessarily the best available out there . A gunsmith will find, order and fit what he thinks you want or specified.

Not all muzzle breaks are made equal (read my sig line...) and I would suggest to identify a few you could live with, otherwise the gunsmith will choose for you... May not be as pretty and quiet as you may have expected...

Hoping this helps.

You can also try Armurerie Lavaltrie, talk to Michel Martel, he should be able to fix your issue at a good price, with a reasonable delay. Alain Combes is another good one.

CRAFM has an in house gunsmith. I know several people who have had muzzles and bolt knobs threaded to their satisfaction.
I have been to Armurier Alain Depot in Granby. He is the authorized repair center for Savage Arms. Very nice and professional. I was very satisfied with his work.
I believe Dante has 2 in house gunsmiths with one of them being Borris. They have been around for half a century. They don't farm out their work.
Here is another one in Napierville who makes his own muzzle brakes. ht tp://www.armurier-gunsmith.com/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=110

If you want an expert gunsmith around Montreal, especially for a muzzle brake, I highly recommend http://reddnobb.com
Paul has been creating custom guns for over 25 years and does work on many agencies' firearms as well as warranty work for several major manufacturers.

I have his comps on 2 of my rifles and several on my pistols over the years. I can say the most dramatic would be the one on my lightweight .30-06 which cuts the recoil down to below .270 level.

Here's his YouTube demo of his comps:
