With Murray Charleton out of business I'm not sure who to turn to. Just before the freeze I picked up a 2nd Model Hand Ejector with British acceptance marks on the frame to supplement the Canadian example from my collection. Upon receipt I found it had a mismatched cylinder that had been badly reblued (purpled) and a hand that was too short. I have sourced a replacement hand but the fact remains that this gun does not have the historical value which I purchased it for. My intentions, therefore, are to enjoy it as a shooter. I would like to find someone capable of converting the cylinder by means of boring straight and chamfering the edges to 45 Colt. There are a couple ways to convert these and this, according to my research, is the cleanest. Can anyone recommend a capable gunsmith for this project?
