Gunsmith/Guru around North Vancouver Island?

Ok so I just bought an M1A and I'm wondering if there is anyone on the north end of Vancouver Island who could have a look at it for me. If anyone knows of an M14 savvy gunsmith that's not too far away, I'd love to hear it.

I'd just like someone to have a once over of it and make sure it's good to go. I don't know anything about these rifles but I finally decided to try one out.

What part of North Vancouver Island are you from? Im in Port McNeill. I was once told that Pat Catarrata (sp) is a gunsmith. He lives in Port Hardy.

Whoa! Not that far north. Comox......maybe I should have said central Vancouver Island.

I don't really need a smith, just someone who knows whats going on with these things who can spot a lemon!
