A friend of mine has some issues with his open gun. Any help, referals, advise would be greatly appreciated.

He has a first generation Caspian wide body frame with a full length Springfield slide that was Acc-U-Railed by U.S. Gunsmith Bob Krieger. After many, many, many :) rounds down range the slide to frame fit is still good but the slide is now cracked beyond repair.

Understanding the current troubles with getting guns and or parts across the border, his question is as follows: Are there any gunsmiths located in Canada that can duplicate the Krieger process and who can adapt a new slide to his old frame? Again any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Wade

I think it's Brian Jones in Michigan that is the only authorized dealer left doing accurails, give him a call and see what can be done, he may have some advice. Otherwise what I dud when my Caspian with rails got a cracked slide was I had the frame rails welded up and recut to factory origionally dimensions and a standard slide fitted. No rails.
