gunsmith in edmonton area

can anyone recommend a good gunsmith in or around edmonton??
there is a couple in the phone book but im not sure who is the best.

Dean- pistolsmith.ca. He was doing the Remington Warranty work, and I have had him do some slide work on a 1911. He is in Callingwood...

I've used Lock & Load several times for stuff that I could not do myself or have not had time. I've had good results for reasonable prices and I'd have no problems to recommend them.

I have had good results with Rod Hendrickson Gunsmithing. There is also Joe at *** International, but he was pretty slow at doing the work( could have been busy, no clue) but he kept putting the project finish date back. If you want Rod's number, just PM me.

What are the thoughts on Rod Henrickson's work? He has a, lets say, "interesting" website.

Rod Henrickson Gunsmithing

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but I'm looking for someone in or close to Edmonton to fit and headspace a pre-chambered drop in barrel for a 700 Rem. It would seem he has the lathe and BF Wrench to get it done.

Joe at R P S built my 7mm STW and was by no means quick to send it back. He did however refuse to send it to me until he was completely satisfied with the work. I don't mind waiting for that quality of work.

I've had good luck with anything Rod has worked on. He pillar and glass bedded a manners T5A for me. He did a good job on it. And he drilled and tapped a 22 receiver to fit a scope rail for me. Not huge jobs, but enough to see that he cares about his work. At least he cares when I'm going to be coming in and picking it up. LOL.

try the fellas at K+S arms.
do good work for me.

Yes, I've heard very good things about Karl at K&S. However, I stopped in for a chat with Karl last week, and he is not taking on any new work. He has essentially stopped the gunsmithing part of his business, and is only finishing up work he had in progress.

I would suggest Dean at pistolsmith.ca. Haven't had any pistol work done by him but he has looked a a few rifles of my buddies and seems like a real good guy to deal with.

Thanks for all the suggestions guy! but Ron is the winner! lol he was the only one that reply to my emails and gave me good price and time line.
Cheers Mike

I had Rod H do some work for me once. To say the least i was more than satisfied. As well he explained how/what/why he was going to do certain things etc. He really seemed to know what he was doing. Good luck!
