Gunsmith in Ontario to do bolt knob installation

I'm looking to have a new bolt knob installed on my Remington 783. This is a hunting rifle and not something I want to spend $300 on to have done. Can anyone recommend an Ontario gunsmith who can do the threading for a reasonable price?

TacOrd did my Remy bolt. Hopefully they have caught up with their orders/client projects. Up to this past August they weren't accepting any new work.

Cheapest route would be to buy the one that bolts OVER the existing bolt knob. If determined to have a permanent solution I would recommend Tac Ord as well.

I've had Jason at Gunco do a bolt handle for me and it was quick, we'll done and priced well. He's pretty busy right now I imagine with the run up to hunting season.

I've done two myself.

not trying to take any work away from any professionals, but you can do it

you will need a cut off wheel, a bench grinder, die grinder with heavy sandpaper disc, calipers, bluing, epoxy/JB weld and the correct die set for the bolt knob.

Of course you can do it all by hand, but it will be harder and take longer. My second one literally took me about an hour, start to finish and its excellent. really proud of it. I will be doing another one soon too.
