Gunsmith

Are there any gun smiths I could send my M14 to that have experience with a M14? There is only 1 gun smith in town and he has never seen an m14 before. The work I have been thinking about getting done is getting the barrel cut down to 18.75" and installing a muzzle break.

Forgot to mention I am in Moncton NB. So who ever does this it would need to be mailed to them.

Try Blue Mountain Sports in Brownsflats in NB. # 506-468-2919 is his number. Very good work coming out of his shop, he is a 1 man shop so not sure how busy he might be. Plus he has lots of other gun related stuff around that the shop in Moncton doesn't.

Remember this is the busiest time of year for all gunsmiths as guys bring in their 'little' jobs just before hunting season. Wait two months before you can expect a more relaxed reception.

Next question, what do you want done to the rifle? There are lots of user fixes that don't need parts, which is another set of problems if they are coming from the US.

I am in no hurry to get anything done. I can wait till after hunting season. My main purpose of this is target shooting with some hunting mixed in. No compititions just fun at the range.
