Hi all. I'm interested in taking some sort of training towards gunsmithing. There seems to be a complete lack of hands-on or classroom style programs here in Canada, but there are quite a few online/distance learning courses.

I was wondering if anyone has taken any of these distance courses and what their opinion of them is. ICS Canada and AGI would be my guesses, but I don't want to waste my time or my money. Any advice regarding gunsmithing in general would be greatly appreciated.

I spent two years at the gunsmithing course at Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, Colorado in 1966-67. It was an excellent course and I think it is even better today. I also think it is pretty expensive today as well.

Advice regarding gunsmithing - expect to make way less than a minimum wage for a few years. It will help if you and your wife have a good job.
