hell every one, I need contact info on reliable gunsmith around Mississauga area that could fit in a new forestock onto a SMLE nr1 Mk3?
I got this gun last year for $200 and after two boxes of shells the forestock went byebye, Im really itching to go to a range soon, yet Im stack at home trying to figure out how to make the new forestock work:(

If you have the forestock, you should be able to just put it on. There's no fitting required. Assuming it's still in full military configuration.

the thing is the forestock I got from Numrich is brand new, with some improvements that cant be found on a original SMLE's, like: there is a screw through in the middle of the stock, there is a metal clamp at the end, where the stock usually brakes, the inletting in the wood does not match the original forestock, plus there is no channel for a butt screw,

all in all there is quite some wood that have to be cheaselled/sand/cut out, and I just lack the tools for it, I would love to do it myself but that means getting the required tools and I dont think my wife will aprove of it:(

You probably could have found a replacement at a gun show for less that would have fit right on. Check the back of Outdoor Canada magazine, anyone that is a member of OFAH gets it for free, there are listings in the back classifieds.

thank you fredko and Rudi, that is most helpfull
