How about a thread about gunsmiths that have done really good work for posters here, their name and how to contact them?

Snapshots is a Ruger warranty station.

M.D. Charlton is a Smith & Wesson warranty station.

Armco does custom work on the 1911.

I'd recommend all three.

In Ontario (no particualr order)

1. Rodger Kotanko - Dark International Trading Company / RK Custom Guns. Rodger just finished a rather beat-up Gamemaster 760 for me. He turned a run-of-the-mill hunting rifle into one helleva accurate and pretty rifle.

2. Casey Brouwer - Tactical Ordnance. He made an amazing Scattergun-tech gun out of a beat-up Wingmaster for me.

After looking for a gunsmith for a job lately IMO it would be a tremendous asset to CGN to have a stickied excel type speedsheet for gunsmiths (not gun sellers- gun smiths) with:
-who they are
-where they are
-how to contact them
-services offered and or their specialties.
-types/style of firearms they work on.

Now that is something I'd really like to see/use.

I went to him because of the accolades he received here on CGN but I had to send the firearms he 'worked' on to another gunsmith (MD Charlton) to get them to work properly and even with the cost of shipping MD Charlton turned out to be faster and less expensive that BoP. Nice guy? Perhaps. Awesome work? Not by a longshot! At least, not from my experience....he kept saying my problems were 'ammo related' which was total BS!! YMMV.

I have no hesitation in recommending Armco(Gunnar), DARK(Rodger) and MD Charlton. They have done good by me.
