I already reload for my Remmy 308 and i just neck resize for this one. Now with my new M305 i would like to start to reload but would like to know since this rifle is a semi, am i suppose to full length resize or i could just neck size for this one as well? Thanks for the info

Ok, you're opening up a can of worms here... but here goes...

The general concensus is to NEVER neck size for semi-auto rotating bolt type rifles. This is said to cause out of battery mis-fires and can turn your rifle into scrap.

Having said that...

There are shooters who neck size and as far as I know, haven't blown up a rifle yet.

Personally, I don't want to take any chances on blowing up my $3000 investment. I full length resize and load to maximum length. I get .25 MOA. I don't need better than that.

Hope that helps.

Oh yes, I almost forgot... let the battle begin... ;)

My buddy might chip in,but here's some of the things he told me at the range.Always F/L for a auto, you may have to small base,he didn't.The M-14 is real hard on brass,I think it three loading and chuck.Heavy bullets are hard on the rod,so max is 150 or so. The orginal powder was 748,but now the US military match load uses RL-15.
