H and R Model 265 Targeteer.

I spied a Harington and Richardson Model 265 Targeteer 22LR up on a local auction. Anybody have any info on the model that would be good to know? Any idea on their values? The current bid is 140$ and the gun appears to be in good shape. both sights are there, has a 10 round mag.

I like the H&R SB2 handi rifles, so the name caught my eye.

I also looked at that rifle, lots of honest ware, but seemed solid. I think magazines might have fit from other H&R models. If you do a search on Rimfire Central you’ll find more information. Neat little receiver sight.

The auction ended last night. I set myself of proxy bid limit of 215$. Someone else wanted that rifle more than I did apparently, it went for 220$. I wonder how high their proxy bid was set but I will never know.

They're interesting old rifles, but at $220 I think you were wise to back off, it wasn't in mint condition by any means, something else will show up.
