H&K Sl8 Any Tactical Upgrades???

one thing down

also 5/30 mags or a g36 magazine mod. also a stock that looks like the g36 also front end rails...basically want a g36 with a long barrell

Some places in the states sell the G36 folding stocks for the SL8, but I have not seen any shop in Canada with them yet. In the states they are about $265 for the folding stock, but they likely won't ship to Canada. A company called "Top Notch Parts" used to sell the SL8 G36 stock and were rumored to have an adapter kit in the works, but they vanished.

It takes a fair bit of work to get the HK G36 stock to work. There is a lot of info on this in the hkpro forums.

Personally I agree with Wildbore and would go with the HERA stock adapter. Way easier to install and it looks even ###ier then real G36 (personal opinion of course.)

HERA conversion kit. Available from Arms East.
(see picture of members SL8, G36 and HERA comversions here: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198191&highlight=SL8

With these two accessories you can add almost any AR-15 accessory to your SL8.

Those could be A/R mags (forget with manufacture) and you can use A/R mags in the SL by instaling the A/R mag adaptor kit.

About $250-300 for the mag adaptor kit if I remember correctly...if not, someone will chime up.

G36 Mag conversion

I know that with a Euro model SL8 you can convert an original G36 to fit the SL8 but taking a dremel tool on the outside edges. If you look at the oringal H&K SL8 mag and the G36 mag you will see the the changes to make.. If you need further info i can take a picture and send it to you

There's no 'kit' to make your SL8 accept G36 mags. About 3 minutes work and it's done. You can't see the modification once it's done and works like it came from the HK factory.

Hard part is paying for the G36 mags.

Same goes for the Canadian version of the SL8. Only the US version requires more in depth modification due to single stack mags.

Hey SL8ngermany, I see you have made it over here from the HK Pro site.
