German sig p226 is all metal
p226 has more available spare parts
p226 has less expensive magazines
p226 costs less
I feel grip size is about the same
USPT has match grade trigger and high target sights
p226 needs more care (proper lubrication)
USP has a safety and can be used in SA mode.

I personally like the looks and feel and shooting of both about the same. The USP 45 is my favorite hand gun. In 9mm I like glock or sig.
