h&r barrels

i think you have to send the receiver in with the new barrel to have them fit the barrel to the receiver. pretty much a no go from canada to the states then back to canada. they may have changed something but that's the way it used to be.

I got mine in EE. I never asked how the seller got two extra barrels or why he was selling them, just bought the one I wanted and felt (still feel) very lucky.

As to the official barrel accessory program, it hasn't changed: They still don't sell accessory barrels on their own, but only when you send them the action for them to fit the new barrel so they can't be sued for some gunsmith or owner outside of their control not checking the fit and headspace are correct. And they only do that for customers in the U.S. because the paperwork for import/export is too much trouble.

Don't give up: The Gravel Agency in Quebec is the customer service agency for Remington, Marlin, and H&R in Canada. They want to bring accessory barrels to Canada and fit them to actions sent in by Canadian customers like the factory does in the U.S. Look them up and send them a letter telling them how many barrels in what calibre you would want if they could do this. If they get enough potential customers taking the trouble to write it might be enough to persuade H&R to let them do it.
