Does anyone know the twist in an H&R Buffalo Classic? I'm trying to decide which Lee mold to order. Anyone shooting cast in these? What works? I'm just shooting paper so I'm only interested in accuracy, not killing game (with this particular rifle).

If you have rifle in hand, it's easy to figure out the twist on your own. Just pull a brass brush through and measure the lenght required to make one full turn of your cleaning rod. ;)

Gerald, it is a 1:20 twist, I use a 2 grove 500 grain lee mold with wheel wieght lead, fluxed! and 26.0 gr of IMR 4759 with a filler.
The darn thing shoots very well, and its a nice alternative black powder load, about the same recoil.
I would not be affraid to shoot a black bear with this load what so ever or a whitetail.

Have the same rifle and I use the Lee 405 cast with wheel weights and they come out at 407 gr. I am using RL7 and AA5744. Both are bug-eye shooters. Lovin' it!
