Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with these guns. I am kinda thinking about getting one in a .223,22 250 or a 204 Ruger. Would like to hear some opinions as to how they shoot and how they stand up to everyday use and abuse. :)
Thanks

I have had 2 and still have 1 the 243 shot OK but I mostly got rid of it because I did not like 243 that much. I have a 204 and it shoots fantastic. Sub moa with 32 and 40 hornadys 35 Bergers and 39 sierras (best group .39 for 3 @ 100) and 32 hornady factory ammo are about .75 moa.

I went 204 over 223 because it had an mechanical extractor not a spring ejector (the odd time the ejector handi's can get a case stuck but not with the extractor) At the time 22-250 were not available but they are extractors too, I still would have gone 204 just because I think it is a better pd gun than 223 and a better fur gun than both the 22-250 and 223.

Next week I am finally going to give the 35 grain bergers a try on coyotes. Depending on you useage if you went 223 or 22-250 the Steven 200 may be a better bet (I would not want to take that light barrel on a high volume pd hunt though). I have a Stevens in 270 and it working out quite well too.

I think I have 2 more handis in my future a 22 hornet and 30/30

Have you or anyone else had experience with a .308 with these rifles. Are they capable of 1" or less at 100 yrds.

From a gunsmithing standpoint these can be a bit of an adventure to dis- and re- assemble. Slave pins are a must. Action pins are splined, so you don't want to take one apart more than necessary, or drive a pin through the wrong way. I've replaced a few mechanical inner parts over the years, but they don't seem to suffer from chronic breakage.

In my limited experience they're super accurate.
A friend has a 204 Ruger and a 17 HMR Sportster, both of which are incredibly accurate right out of the box and great in the field.
Unfortunately as a fellow "outside of America" citizen(Australian), I'm completely unable to use their tremedous barrel program.
Otherwise I might own a couple already.
I still have my sights set on the 280 Rem with the 26" bbl and the new .500 S&W rifle though.
