The Graybeard Outdoors site is very active for H&R/NEF owners, with a lot of very useful information. I'm pretty sure that I read something on there about brass and/or steel triggerguards, as well as the U-shaped bracket or saddle at the rear of the forearm, where it contacts the receiver. Don't know if they are still available, but it's worth a look. I have a .45-70 Buffalo Classic H&R, among others, and it's a great value for the money.
