I have an H&R Handy Gun II Model 258 in 30-30 Win with a second 20ga barrel, it is a versatile combination.
I would also like a 22 Long Rifle rimfire barrel for it, would anyone on the forum know if a later model 22LR barrel could be adapted to fit on the older Handy Gun II frame? Thank you for your ideas. WK

A question for you about the Handy Gun II... what length is the 20 gage barrel and what is the overall length of the gun? Is it classified as a restricted weapon here in Canada? Do you know what the minimum overall length is to qualify as non-restricted? Just asking because of some confusing info I got recently and was hoping you might be able to clarify as you have a short length production gun.

It look like the minimum barrel length for a manufactured gun is 8.5"? Handy guns have longer barrels than that from the factory though.

I think the barrels on the version I have are 20" long. There was a similar model with handgun length barrel. WK

Good thought Galt. I think there are later combo version guns that include a rim fire, I am not sure how this issue is dealt with? WK

I had a sporter in 22, a 45/410 survivor and a 223 at one point. I know the 22 could fit the 22 mag and 17 barrel sets but never thought about trying it on the centrefire receivers.
