Thanks for sharing and good to have you on the Canuck gun site. 
Of course we do not have anything like the CMP here......
One of these rifles sold recently on here. I was too late as it sold within hours at a very reasonable price. It was in exc shape and appears completely original.
What scope do you have on yours and how has accuracy proven with it? Some hear H&R and just figure everything they ever made was just cheap junk. They forget about or unaware of the fact they made some quality single shot pistols and a rifle like this.
I note yours also has a nicely figured walnut stock.
Btw, nice job on installing the butt hook. Obviously you are pretty handy with milling metal.
