H&R M4 survival rifle

I just googled it, a couple Americans bought some for 1200 a couple years ago. That said. Why don't you google it? Nice gun to play with though, the Petawawa Museum has one with a mag. Fun little gun

A decade or so back I bought mine for around $300. I have seen the odd one at gunshows for $400 since, although in lesser condition. Plenty have been on the EE for the $700-800 mark over the years, but we can't know the final selling price. They are, of course, restricted since the stock will collapse it to a length shorter than 26 OAL. The way the laws are written, modifying the stock will not change the status, since the work "originally" comes in there somewhere.

The US price has little bearing on these here, since they are neither importable or exportable to there.

why not just Google everything and no use CGN at all!

i get your sarcasm, but seriously google is way better for searching than this site. This site I find is great for communicating ideas and concerns that relate to the firearms community and the EE. Google provides 100% the answers to the questions here. So yeah why NOT google ####ing everything

Thanks for the reply, useful gen.

Back to the regular scheduled program....US prices on these is totally out of whack compared to the values in Canada due to the limited number "legal" rifles in the US. Apparently, due to the short barrel, they had to have some form of registration back in the 60's in order to be on the up and up. I have seen US values up over $3000. In Canada they seem to be anywhere from around $400 to $1000 (asking prices). I spoke to a fellow at the Orangeville gunshow in the fall who had one for sale for $500. It wasn't in the best of condition, but was all there. He said he had lots of interest until the potential buyers realized that it was restricted. These are also relatively uncommon and there isn't too much information floating around about them in Canadian service (even on the mighty inteweb), so a good number of people don't realize they are a Canadian milsurp collectable. Mine is in very good condition and the fellow I bought if from had carried it on his tractor for years to shoot ground hogs.

I just aquired one not too long ago, was really looking foreward to shooting it but had an unforseen bill come up that I may need to sell it to help pay :(
