I picked up a small batch of rifles from a friend of mine who had inherited them and had no use. Among them is a Harrington and Richards Shikari model 155 in .44 rem mag. I've tried researching this specific rifle, but can only find info on the 45-70 and some other H&Rs.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these or can direct towrds somewhere that can give me some more info. Mainly I'm hoping to find a value for it for insurance purposes, but I'd also like to know how it does out in the field.

Any help is appreciated. :D

One was in the EE a couple months ago. Semmed to be the standard H&R hinge action. Was priced around $400-450 if I recall. I seem to also remember a ramrod or something under the barrel that made it special (priced that way, at least). Mind you, I could be talking out of my ass

Thanks slicknick, it gives me a start. I've been checking out similar models and have found that the ramrod seems to be a popular item to have removed with that portion of the wood cut off, which seems to be the case for mine.

Thanks.
