Anyone got any experience with one???

I am thinking it might be fun to get one. I don't mind single shots and do a lot of slug gun hunting. Heard they were accurate but heavy and kicked.

Any thoughts???

I own an H&R USH in 20ga......the shotgun is quite heavy at aprox 10lbs (scope included). Consequently, there is not much felt recoil. I found that the weight works well in favour of stability even when shooting offhand. Moreover, the USH model is inherently accurate and tend to be generally compatible with Rem Accutip sabots. My specimen shoots under 1in @ 100 yards. When shooting from a bench, best results will be achieved via resting the shotgun closer to the vicinity of the receiver.

Dollar for dollar, this gun is the best value you will ever find in a rifled slug shotgun. When I lived in a shotgun-only zone I played around with Savage 210's, assorted 870's and 37's, a Mossberg 9200, a T/C Encore, and probably a couple of others I've forgotten. Few of them were as accurate as my USH, and none were more accurate. When I moved to a rifle area (yeehaw!:)) it's the only one I kept, just in case. Unless you really want a repeater, it's the perfect slug shooter. Mine likes the Winchester Partition Gold slugs.

I have an H&R ultra light slug hunter in 20 gauge. It has a lighter barrel and I have never found the need for a heavy barrel on a hunting gun. It is very accurate with the right slugs. You just have to try a few to find what your gun likes.

Trigger and bows is where I got my. They seem to be they only place that has them every in stock. I have a 20 ga and they are nice guns. Right now using federal trophy slugs. They are accurate and they 20 has a better twist rate than they 12 ga. If you stand hunt they are very nice. May try accutips. Used in twice, but property I hunted was full of corn so saw nothing. With they right sabots 125 to 150 yards is no problem. Just triggers and bows. Hard to find. Buy they heavy barrel. They light barrel one which is listed at lebarons is like 5 and half pounds. At 10 pounds scoped they do not kick. Just put a slip on recoil pad when sighting in. They 20 ga is a pleasure to shoot. Not like a mossberg pump which is pure pain to sight in.

I purchased the 12 gauge ultra slug hunter heavy barrel from triggers and bows 2 days before the November 4th shot gun hunt, I bought the hornady sst 12gauge sabot slugs to zero my new Nikon 3-9x40 slug hunter scope. I was getting slightly less then 2 1/2" at a 105 yards, I figured that was good enough for the deer hunt, unfortunately I seen no deer to shoot lol. however I do plan on trying other sabot slugs to shoot this coming winter to see if it can be tightened a lil more then 2 1/2". all in all though I am happy with this gun .
