H+R Sportster, anyone

Are the H+R Sportster good guns, as I've never had an H+R gun. Just looking for a gun that shoots shorts, being a lefty has fewer options.

They are very solid well made guns and shoot pretty accurately too. I have a couple Sportsters in HMR;

I've got three sportsters(22lr, 22mag and 17hmr) and they are all good guns and are as accurate as I am.

I've been on the eye ball for a 22 MAG. I have a 223 survivor. Taking a bit to get use to the trigger.

Have them in 17 HMR, 17HM2, .243 & .410 / 45 LC.
All shoot fine.
I'm a lefty too, there are a lot of lefty rimfires out there in bolt action, suggest Savage or CZ or lever action rifles.

Mines in .22LR, dead accurate little rabbit gun.

Had a H&R in 17HMR. Solid, accurate rifle. Sold it 'cause I wanted a bolt action.
Don't open the action with your head right behind it. A friend took a case to the teeth doing this . Just his ego was damaged.

I've got an H&R/NEF with a 30-30 barrel and 20ga barrel and seeing the scopes on the guns in these pics makes me wonder how jarring is it on a scope when your in a rush and repeatedly let the break open action slam against the stop like it can? It would be the same for the .22LR's, etc. in the pics.
