wondering if anyone has one or shot one with gould results? ive heard that theyre not that accurate considering theyre called a varmint rifle. the skelletonized model looks like a sweet little tack driver. are they worth the $?

hit and miss with these rifles. Mine wouldn't shoot worth $hit.

I've had a bunch of these over the years, and I agree, it's a crap shoot. Most are great shooters, some are absolute garbage.

In all honesty, however, I could make the exact same statement about Kimbers. At least with an H&R, if you buy one and aren't satisfied, you can sell it and be out...how much? A hundred bucks? Less? A cheap experiment, and if you get one of the good ones (and the majority are good) you've made out like a bandit.

I have one in .204 Ruger, bull barrel, it absolutely hates factory ammo, about a 5 inch group with the hornady stuff @100, handloads are a different story, pretty much 1/2 inch groups with 40 bergers, also took about 500 rounds for the groups to really tighten up, strange but true. I love the thing.
