H1000 in .260 AI?

I built a .260 AI.All the loads I tried so far have been with H4831SC.While there is nothing wrong with the way it shoots(3/4-1 1/2" @ 200) with 140 Horn. Amax bullets and not adjusting seating depth yet.I have a bunch of H1000 on hand ,and was wondering if anyone had experience with this powder in the .260 AI.

Hodgdon only lists h1000 for the heavier bullets 160gr.
Might be a little to slow for 140's but you could always try you might not get top speeds.

I use it in the 6.5X55 which is very close in case capacity to the 260 AI. A full case with a 140 gr bullet (53.5 grs in my gun) gives an accurate 2800 fps load at moderate pressure. A very close second to H4350 in my gun.

Too slow. With H4831SC, I was almost compressed. With H1000, you simply can't get enough into the case for max performance.

BUT if you just want a moderate load, it should work nicely.
