Hey guys, not sure if this has been posted before or not, but I found it interesting. I noticed that the loading data for H414 and W760 were close, but H414 is listed in more books. I later read on the internet that they are indeed the same powder.... Well if you read it on the internet you know it must be true. :D
I decided to email Hodgdon directly to get a real answer. Here is what they told me:
Yes, H414 and Winchester 760 are the same powder. The only difference
is the label on the bottle. This has been true since we brought out
H414 years ago.

The world is a changing..............

70% of Remington IMR powder comes from Australia and 30% is made in Canada. The American company General Dynamics weapons division makes the Remington powder in Canada and the Winchester powder in Florida. The Australian powder is made by ADI and is owned by a French company. Hodgdons re-labels the powders and sell all three makes or brands.

Your H414 is made in Florida by General Dynamics (under the Winchester name)
