H4831 and H4831sc

Burn rate is the same and same load data can be used for both but loads should be developed seperately for each type because the SC is smaller it will fill less of the case for the same weight of charge and will therefore produce slightly lower pressures. If you develop a load with 4831SC then switch to regular 4831 and use the same data you could create an unsafe condition if you were close to max load. Range results will also vary due to the pressure differences.
Use the same data from the book but develop loads seperately starting low and working up watching for pressure signs.

Good luck

SC will settle further into the case but the volumetric space taken up will be the same. The shorter kernels just means there is less gaps between the kernels so it all ends up at the top. This is of course assuming same weight of charge, not volume.
