which powder do you think is better suited to load 3006 with 150gr "30-30" bullets ? i guess around 2500 fps ?

I have what we call AR2206H (H4895) ? and Varget our 2208.........

and should i just seat the bullet in the cannelure to keep it simple?
cheers fellas

IMR4895 was the original powder used in the M2 ball cartridge, so I would go with that. As mentioned, 4895 can safely be downloaded as well. Varget works good too but I would not go much below the recommended minimum load of 47gr for a 150gr bullet.

oh thats sweet info there, Thanks Gents.
il look into that method for sure.

i wanna get the rifle shooting for Fallow season this month! accuracy not too dire

cheers!

So i loaded 45 Grains..... not quite that reduced, but not flat out by any means.. actually its 1gr below start.. LOL i did the math wrong there but anywho.... awaiting mounting setup an then il report back- just a trial these, likely shoot paper with the 150s an load the 170s for more shootin n odd hunt
