Anyone seen H4895 in stock anywhere? Going to run out by summers end and all the usual suspects are out of stock.

Canada Ammo, a banner sponsor/dealer has D4895ssc at $160 pluss taxes and shipping for five pounds.

Good powder, very consistent and you will have to work up a new load for your rifle. It's not cannister grade, so each lot is slightly different from the next.

One of the hardest powder to find now together with the Reloders series from 15 to 26. No offers for it in Canada now AFAIK.

Thanks, but unfortunately that's IMR 4895. I'm looking for H4895.

IMR and H4895 are basically the same thing just IMR powder is made in Canada and H powder is made in Australia so a slight discrepancy and the D4895 is IMR4895 just in bulk form that gets repackaged.

Quoted in case I need to know this later, when I run out of H4895.

H4895,IMR4895,D4895 not same same, be careful!

H4895 is slightly faster burning rate than IMR 4895. H4895 is less temperature sensitive than iMR4895. They are not the same. Similar, but not the same, just saying.Even with same brand powder behaviour can change some from lot to lot( that's why I like to get my most used powders in 8lb'ers when I can) so be careful, assuming things when reloading can lead to bad things happening.;)
