From his post, Silverado seems to have done the right thing. Too bad for all the words wasted that he didn't give all the details, and contrary to the very fine point Stubblejumper made, he raised suspicions rather than clarifying the whole thing.
I appreciate your effort, Silverado... more than you know it.
I found myself in the situation where I've been told by a friend that he got a whole bunch of fish, exceeding his limit many folds..... I tried to explain him that even though he went fishing only once a year and he provided for his family (5 kids), the risks totally outweight the gains in this matter. I made a formal invitation to him and his best buddy to come hunting with me, and see if the education would be a waste, or simply a matter of eliminating ignorance. I'd rather have a friend that would turn out to be a conservationist than another poacher that got caught.... only to be more careful next time.....
 
good on ya Silverado. Thanks from all of us for doing the right thing. It sounds like you've got the all too uncommon quality of common sense...
