I'm likely going to be purchasing a Haenel Jaeger 10, but there seems to be very limited information in English and even German!

does anyone on here own or have handled them?

the info I'm looking for in particular is:
rate of twist for .308 and 30-06 and how they're bedded/recoil lug set up.

reason I want one is because they're different and I'm weird like that :p and I need to replace the x-bolt stalker I sold around Christmas... that empty space in the cabinet is starting to drive me nutz.

Have you tried google ? There seems to be lots of info, pictures etc.
Apparently a 10" barrel twist for both 308 and 30-06.
One poster mentioned a selling price of 1050 Euros in Germany.
Maybe give Clay a call at Prophet River and see what he can dig up.

Wolverine Supplies have some in stock with more coming in the next week or so. Send an e-mail with your questions.

yep, I was googling and there was info ranging from 10-15" in Barrel twist and nothing about how they're bedded. (I know enough German to grind through most of the data). I just like to have as much info about something before I buy it ;)

I've talked to 2 guys at Wolverine as that's where I'll be getting it from, they weren't sure on the recoil lug setup (and I don't really blame them, I don't expect merchants to take apart every item they sell, especially if it's oddball).

Well, its a very old but small brand. Been bought by Merkel recently. You can think of it as Haenel to Merkel is like Tikka to Sako.

Jaeger 10 is like Tikka T3 - "entry level", very recent model, probably from 2011. Push feed, but unlike T3, it is 6 lug bolt, 60 degrees rotation.
J10 has plastic trigger guard and plastic mag release. Magazine is bottom plastic, sides and feedlips are metal. It says capacity is 4 in a mag, but at least early production had problem with blot action with 4 loaded, with 3 it cycles just fine.

Safety - 2 position, can't be put on safe while uncocked. Separate button for bolt open while on safe.

thanks, hehe, I did watch that video but I can't understand any French let alone speak or read it. I do know 'hockey french' though, which is 10 words tops... I think beleret (sp) is 'great save' :p
