You know the guy that will drink and hunt ?
Sometimes block another by turning around in front of you..so they can be ahead..
This is one of them guys.

I stopped..looked and said to my kid ..lol
leave him there...

After driving away had better thoughts.
came and gave him a heads up that i would check on him at the end of my day.

Gave him and his buddy a ride to the pavement. .where his wife could find them

Not sure what I'm looking at here. I assume by looking at the pics that is maybe a logging road? A semi frozen creek? I need a little clarification to know if I should think this is funny or not, otherwise this is just a poor fellow who got his truck stuck in the snow.

Good grief ... my driveway is rougher than that.. you can still see his bumper

anyhow, good going Skneub ! you did the right thing given him a ride out ... have to help them ! i'd hate to see it go bad for those two, even if they were being stupid and drinking

Not to stir the pot here, but does he have street tires on or something because with it being near the start of winter here and the snow still being soft. I dont think he should of got stuck. Unless he feel into a hole or something.

To me it doesnt look toooo bad.

I once got stuck in a similar situation. Everything was going smoothly when all of the sudden all 4 wheels broke through ice and my Sidekick's underside was neatly resting on ice with all 4 wheels spinning in nothing. I hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary as there was a clean layer of snow on top of the ice (and everything else).

Once saw a pick up resting on it's frame, right beside the Forestry trunk road. Lot of places, like north eastern Alberta, the dirt road is the only navigable land around.

Looks like a pipeline right-of-way. No guarantee of any solid ground under that snow. Need much more than the average 4x4 with good tires to get through that successfully.

Yep , I walked in to talk to them
In the ruts it was soft under my foot all the way.
A few spots the snow in his ruts was wet thru already.

I suspect they may have tugged a few swamp spruce out with the winch they went to pick up from home..

I have been helped in the bush a couple times, use of a phone to call for help and parts

just payin it forward like I hope he also will

lol , I drove an 84 Toyota 4x4 home off the Forestry trunk road...with trim blocks black taped to the front axle to hold up the truck...busted main leaf in a hole on a line..
I tell ya..every bump jarred your teeth;)

I got hit like that once. Cruising down a logging road to a landing with a few inches of snow on it then BOOM, close to the door handles in water. There was a pit dug with a cat and it filled with water to the top. Add 4 inches of ice and a skiff of snow and you have a truck trap. There was even a track right to the hole. I think they got the idea from trapping mammoths. Over 6000 dollars damage on a new truck.
