hey,

a) I just saw that the Aug 20th Haliburton level 2 is open for online signup, and

b) I was at Al Flarahety's (sp?) and they apparently just got a delivery of Winchester ammo, so lots of 115gr and 147gr WinClean (9mm, obviously). No 124gr... Didn't ask about other calibers. 115 is $10.19/box - not as cheap as LeBaron, but it's available, if you need some ahead of the Nationals.

the one they don't have, haha - the 124gr.

I was shooting the 115gr for the longest time, recently switched to the slightly heavier bullet because I found that produced the most managable recoil in my new gun (tanfoglio L). I'm totally convinced this is a function of the shooter and the gun, so don't just follow someone else's example, test things out, and decide what works best for you, in your gun ;)

yeah definetely the 124. I find the 115s to light and not so accurate. The 147s are nice, but dont allow as fast a follow up shot as the 124s.

I am shooting .40S&W in Standard, but wouldn't mind to shoot some Production with my XD9. I have just order Safariland holster and some pouches and will try Production in couple weeks. Actually my BB was done with Production pistol using Fobus holster, highly not recommended, it takes a lot to pull the gun out of that holster, I find it very unsafe.

I find my XD9 shooting 115gr best, and have stock few good hundreds rounds in that bullet weight.

the Fobus kydex holster? Odd..those things have very low retention. Did you try adjusting it? Just enough force so that when you hold the holster upside down the gun does not readily fall out? You dont have to shake it either.

Since I switched to my Galco im alot happier. Much more comfortable. The Uncle Mikes Kydex though is total simplicity and ease of use.

Fobus Kydex is a junk, I can't believe it that my favorite Gun Store recommend me to buy it. It is totally not adjustable. I did all kind of thing, adding self made spacers and shaving inside of the holster, and can say it does not work.
Never spend money on that piece of plastic junk.

Omen - Lebarons in Missisauga had two cases of Winchester White Box 124gr left on Saturday. Er well that was till I left the store... They said that they hoped to get more in at the end of this week. The price did go up slightly - around $0.50 a box if I remember correctly.
