So I'm looking for a new duck/goose gun and am a lover is side by side shotguns especially with external hammers. The main purpose for this gun would be ducks and geese I'm not looking to do any upland hunting with it as I have much lighter 20 and 12 guages. I was thinking of getting a cz hammer classic as I wanted something with 3 inch chambers and steel compatability and also something that I don't really care if it gets abused as most fowling guns do. So i guess my question is has anyone seen any of these for sale or do you know of any others that would fit the bill. I know prophet river had a huglu one but it had a chromed action which would not be ideal for in the blind, also im looking for the hammer classic with 30 inch barrels not the hammer coach with 20's.

Ah yes the bohemienne, I had a look at one, and while it is definitely finished much nicer than the cz hammer classic, they almost appear to be the exact same gun aside from the finishes and a different hammer profile. I agree I would prefer the pedersoli more but I don't know if it's worth spending double or more for it if it's going to get abused. Anyone else out there seen any modern hammer guns for sale, dealers welcome.

Having examined the Pedersoli and owning several Italian hammer guns from the 1960s, I think the Bohemienne is a bit of a clunk for handling. It is a chunky gun in every respect.
It is heavy and it is suitable for steel shot, so perhaps it would satisfy in the duck blind. I would not be carrying it far in the field.
