Looking for a good BBL for a Hammerli P240 38special WC.
The one I have is bulged, I have put 1500 rounds through it since, it still outshoots my K38. But I would like a new BBL. If I can not find a BBL I would consider selling it. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, if you have contacted the Walther parts department in Germany and they have said no, then you are out of luck. I know it happened a lot with slightly fast loads and hollow base bullets in Australia, so you might try Potter Firearms, but if you are really really concerned about it, the only option is to bore out the breechblock and install a newly turned barrel. If the accuracy has not degraded, I'd say just continue on shooting it. On the third hand what would your asking price be?

cheers Dr Jim

Marshall, you're a little late to the ball! The p240 was introduced in the mid 1970s and went out of production in all it's variants - 22, 32, and 38 in the late 90s. It was a big gun, extremely accurate, but had some odd defects such as the tendency to eject the case of a squib - not giving you a warning that a slug was till in the barrel. Still, I loved my 32, and have lusted after a 38 for a long time, but can't justify one since I'm no long competing.

cheers

T&G I have been a little late for a long time, all my guns are out of production eons ago, I never shot formal comp, just my own range.
I just like Goodolder guns I think my newest gun is a ist model p220 9mm with the heal mag. rel., or s-w 12-2
