Hand gun phylum?

Does anyone know if the Ruger GP 100 belongs to Ruger's family of "speed, service, or super six" categories of double action reovolvers? I'm looking to purchase one of Khuenhausen's books from Brownell's, but I want to make sure the class about which he is writing relates to my gun.

No. The GP frame is heavier.

The following is from the Heritage Gun Books' description of The Ruger Double Action Revolvers: A Shop Manual, Vol. I:

"With over a million made, the Six-Series Double Action Revolvers were the parent design for Ruger's later Redhawk, Super Redhawk, and GP Series double actions, which are covered in Volume II (to be released at a future date)."
