I've seen some pics of handguards with filed Anti Rotation tabs to fit the Maccabee SLR, are there any with tabs that fit better than others, or is it a case of filing all of them?

I'm kind of gun shy of buying a $3-400 handguard and screwing it up with a file (where did that thread go to?).

Get a BCM MCMR M-LOK handguard. The anti-rotation tabs index around the top instead of the bottom. No need to modify to fit, and they're FANTASTIC handguards.

Calgary Shooting Centre just got some 15" ones IIRC.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the BCM out. Have you fitted one of these on an SLR - or seen one fitted?

I helped install that same BCM handguard on a SLR. They fit perfectly, as the ARTs index off the base of the rail. Follow the instructions, as it's a tight fit between the handguard and barrel nut - put the barrel nut in the freezer for a few hours, and use a heat gun to heat up the handguard. A rubber mallet made it easy.
