HANDGUN FREEZE UPDATE FROM CSAAA: https://mailchi.mp/2b7e34e0e76a/the-handgun-freeze?e=2b5181a8c3

There is still a fair amount of uncertainty that exists surrounding implementation timelines for the handgun freeze. Unfortunately, we as a business do not receive much more information than the public.

We understand that there might be a rush to purchase a pistol as it is now or never for some folks.

Please note that if you are planning to visit our webstore within the next couple days, please ensure to enter PAL and Address details correctly in the checkout phase to ensure orders are processed efficiently.

Please refer to our FAQs: https://www.westernmetal.ca/faqs/ for ordering steps.

Thank you for the update! As a consumer, it's such a weird spot to fluctuate between panic buying something surplus and holding off for something beautiful that might never come in. We all need clarity, eh?

Nothing is coming in. Buy what you can now. Tomorrow or Saturday there will be no new transfers started. These are the last days to ever purchase a handgun in Canada ever again. There will be no reversal regardless of what people dream the CPC "might do".

More speculation. The transfer freeze might not happen until C-21 is passed several weeks or months from now.
Might as well go buy privately a used gun vs the extortionist prices Western Metal has listed here

They had their hands slapped for bypassing the democratic process when they banned the AR's by OIC. Now they have banned import permits for handguns, why would they bother banning the transfer or sale when they have already put an absolute limit on the amount that are in Canada. They might as well go through parliament instead of using the OIC which will cause a bunch more court cases to be started.

Exactly! I’ve been saying that for weeks..
Prohib owners can still transfer between prohib owners and does Wendy or the general public care ? No.

Liberals can avoid more bad press and another PP slap, skip the OIc and even if the legislation is shot down.. they have still banned the importation, which is a quasi ban.

If I was them, I'd take it really slow, all the way into the next elections, to maximize the publicity. Why spending all of that in one year. They know as well as we all do that this ban is purely a public stint designed to generate extra votes and has nothing to do with public safety, whatsoever.

Thinking the same. If they get a freeze through and gun crime continues to escalate they will never have the time to put together the amount of work it would take for a ban/buyback and it will look like everything they have done was not enough and a failure. They will get far more capital out of this if they let it simmer and then drop the hammer after Jag wakes up and gets out of bed knowing he has been molested by a guy in pretty socks, and says time for people to choose.

Disagree.

The global narrator's will have declared the three letter world word before the time sockboy is up for dethroning, emergency measures act by default at that time, all bets are off.

Also disagree.

Both of you, these bans have nothing to do with reducing the frequency of crime. It's about disarmament, period.

There is no date on the CSSA bulletin, but they do mention "it has been 31 days since the freeze was announced".....this appears to be a very OLD press release from CSSA ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

They are referring to parliament "sitting" days. The hammer has started its decent boys. This is the end of an era, one step closer to a gun free Canada (criminals excepted).

Unfortunately for all law abiding, responsible, legal firearms owners and the community, this is coming any day now. We of course don’t know exactly when, but all indications expect it to be sooner than later.

This was discussed on Tuesday during the televised parliament session on C-21. If you are interested, the recorded video can be found and watched here:http://https://www.ourcommons.ca/Committees/en/SECU/StudyActivity?studyActivityId=11814165

All hammers should be banned as well
