hi there I am looking at buying a handgun and wanted to buy today to get the 10% off but I am still waiting for my restricted PAL if I pay online for the full amount would it be possible to hold until I get my RPAL

Well, if you buy it online, the second step is to fax or email your PAL. You have a wait room there.

Secondly, you can provide message when you buy it online.

So, even if you don't reach Ryan, I would buy it with the message that RPAL and club (current or future) info is coming later and as soon as received from RCMP.

RCMP may take from weeks to months to process transfer anyway.

Your request is most likely no problem.

Most of the retailers here are quite happy to hold a gun purchase until your PAL arrives.

If you are paying in full up front, they really have nothing to lose by holding your gun for you.

Another legal option is to have a friend (with a RPAL) buy it and hold it for you.
They could even go to the range with you so you can shoot it under their supervision.
