Handgun storage techniques

Hi all,
Anybody have any great storage tips or ideas for storing handguns in a long gun safe or in a pistol cabinet? It seems I have too many and need a better way to store mine as it's getting cramped... Hopefully hear some creative ideas.
 
Barrel hangers, from the same company that makes the stackable brass sorting bowls.
Hang all your pistols side by side under a shelf.
 


I use this on my upper shelf of the safe that is shared with a lock box. I place this block of wood against the back of the safe. Barrels are placed on the wood block and the grip is set on the shelf.

I do something similar to this, except I cut mine for the butt/grip and place the pistol on it upside down. i have a 4 drawer file cabinet in one safe, so the wood is on one drawer
 
i make the swing-able barrel hanger pins (hooks) or whatever you wanna call them for my pistols in the rifle safe, not the best looking thing but work great.

I use these ht tp://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/70154800/ , just slip some vinyl hose on the SS uprights and adjust to fit space and/or guns. Works great
 
That is a good idea, xboltss. So is the shoe hanger in the last picture. Assuming that's what it is. Good spot for mags.
Plan 'B' would be a home made shelf if there's room for it.

no, i used a cheap drill bit from CT with my battery powered drill.

i found that a piece of 1"x1"x 8" long wood i made earlier worked better because the pins swing too easy on the U aluminum channel, but i like the look of U channel
