What the best and easiest way to transfer a pistol to my brother so he can train with it? I live in another province, do I just get a ATT an send the original owner certificate by mail or something?

Depends on your province.

Short answer is your brother asks for an ATT to borrow your gun. CFO decides if they will grant it. Some do, some don't. Sometimes it's only for short term. He may get lucky

Contact your CFO. There is a form you can get that is for borrowing and storage.

It involves your info, his info, the purpose, what firearms, the reg certificate #, his and yours signature. How long? up to 1 year is the max my cfo told. Will you need a ATT.

Has anyone looked into leasing a handgun ?
I'm going thru having to vacate my place for insurance claim and looked at relocating restricted firearms. The CFO would only allow the firearms to be stored at the other location for 12 months, then assume another form would need to be filled out.

It mentions borrowing etc.
