Can you use a handheld induction heater to anneal brass? They are used to remove rusted bolts maybe they are too hot.71COBzo7mvL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

looks like Burstfire came up with a progressive induction annealer plus case prep center all in one unit for a bit less than stupid money. not inexpensive when you do the currency conversion but for someone who processes thousands of cases on a yearly basis this isn't a bad deal if an induction type annealer is your obsession.

Interesting.
I've been reloading since 07 but haven't gotten into annealing yet.
May have to spend some time reading a bit on this.

I use a “bolt buster” and it works very well but does get hot so have to set it aside and let things cool every 10-15 cases. Also, best to do this with the lights OFF so the level of heat is more easily observed. Doesn’t need to be pitch black, just turn the lights off. It is very easy to over do it and burn your brass if it is too bright in the room.
